Iglesia de San Juan Bautista, Villa Coyoacan dengan CalUrbanist

You might think of Coyoacan as Mexico City's first suburb. Originally a pre-Hispanic village on the south shore of Lake Texcoco, its Tepenec residents took Spanish conqueror Hernan Cortes under their wing while he fought their Mexica Aztec enemies in Tenochtitlan. Later, while the Aztec capital was being rebuilt along Colonial lines, Coyoacan served as capital of New Spain. It remained a quiet village outside Mexico City until the mid-20th Century; even today, the historic villa is an oasis in the sprawl of the modern metropolis. Its local parish began construction in 1520, just a year after the conquistadors arrived.
